I figured I'd better make an intro post. Who in their right mind would want to ask me to review their book, etc, if they don't even know who I am, right? It's like handing over your baby to a stranger. And I know I wouldn't do that, so I don't expect you to!
My name is Nikki, or as we'll refer to me here, the Storm Goddess. No, you don't have to bow down to me, and I promise I won't throw lightning bolts at you unless you REALLY make me mad! J/k
I'm an avid reader, aspiring writer, online used bookstore owner, and dreamer. I'm a wife, a mother, a multi-tasker, a weather fanatic, a photographer (Just a side hobby/passion)
My purpose for this site is to give more exposure to authors who publish with smaller presses, or self publish. Will I turn away a major NYT Bestselling author? Hell, no.
I read various genres, therefore I will review various genres. I read romance, thriller, suspense, horror, mystery, urban fantasy, general fiction, women's fiction, chick lit, paranormal, a little bit of sci fi, a little bit of fantasy. I'll be honest, I'm not big on historical, and while I do read erotic romances, I'm not big on M/M, F/f, or menages. I do read some books that have menage, but it's not very often. So I wouldn't have an easy time doing a book review of those genres.
I'm always looking for new authors to try out. I'm often times hunting down titles at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or other online sites, and I love to browse new and used bookstores. I am a bookaholic, and not afraid to admit it.
This is a new venture for me. I've already got a full plate. I stay at home with my very energetic toddler son, I take care of things around the house, I write, I read, review, work on my weather website, run an online used bookstore. Yeah, I've got a lot going on, but why not enjoy all aspects of life that I can?
So, that's my life in a nutshell. I hope that you'll enjoy this site. I'm honest with reviews, but I'm not going to bash you. I always try to find the positive in things. I love connecting with other writers and readers, and just people who share the same interests as me. Or people who don't, heck, we know opposites attract!
So now you have it. My introduction. I'm not as much of a stranger anymore, am I?
